Junior professor

Christopher Osterhaus heads the Developing Minds Lab. His research focuses on the development of scientific thinking, social cognitive processes and comparative cultural developmental psychology. The aim of his work is to understand fundamental developmental processes and to make findings usable for schools and educational research.

Jana Warnke

Research assistant

Jana Warnke conducts research on the social-cognitive development of children with a focus on perspective taking and social understanding. She is involved in the design and implementation of studies and works on the evaluation and publication of research results.

Raja Lücke

Research assistant

Raja Lücke is a research assistant in the project SCUOLA. Raja works on questions of scientific thinking and cognitive development in childhood. She is particularly interested in the relationship between theory of mind and cultural contexts.

Nina Engel

Research assistant

Nina Engel is a research assistant in the project MINT FiT. In her work, she investigates how children develop scientific and technical skills in everyday family life and what role joint discovery and learning plays in the family.

Lara Kuhnt

PhD student

Lara Kuhnt is doing her doctorate on the question of how dance influences the social-cognitive development of children. In her work, she is investigating the extent to which movement, rhythm and dancing together promote social perception, emotional understanding and cooperation.
